Construction is Underway in Kingswell, Where Dreams Are Built
What was once a delightful vision is now becoming a reality in Kingswell, the newest neighborhood at Golden Oak. Custom homebuilders are beginning construction on the first few residences.
Inspired by old-world European and Caribbean design, single-family homes in the Kingswell neighborhood will range in size from approximately 5,000 to 7,000 square feet, with prices starting at $3 million. Some of the homesites' lush, approximate half-acre lots enjoy desirable water views, while others overlook attractive landscapes.
Deeply rooted in tradition, Kingswell is named after the street where Walt and Roy Disney set up their first Hollywood studio – the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio – in California where they produced the classic cartoon series, Alice Comedies.
A glorious green space: Ferndell Park.
Within the Kingswell neighborhood is a lovely retreat, Ferndell Park. Accessible by all Golden Oak residents, the three-acre park is a blend of natural beauty and active green spaces.
Featuring an expansive lawn, picnic benches and a family playground, Ferndell Park is inspired by an enchanting fern garden in Los Angeles near where Walt Disney lived for nearly a quarter of a century. Whether it's lawn games, half-court basketball, picnics, festive gatherings or relaxing nature walks, there's always a delightful reason to come out to play.
Near the park, a bronze sculpture of Pinocchio will also be featured, adding to the unique Golden Oak sculpture series that includes interpretations of classic Disney animation throughout the community.
As more residents are looking to live at Golden Oak full time, the need for ample outdoor amenities has become ever more important. Ferndell Park offers several beautiful outdoor spaces within walking distance from some homes to connect with nature – and one another.
