With its emphasis on flexibility and convenience, the Disney Connection is your go-to resource for creating your ideal Walt Disney World® Resort experience. From the Theme Parks, Water Parks, golf and in-park special events to dedicated transportation, merchandise discounts and more, the Disney Connection allows you to indulge in an expansive array of resort offerings and services. Many are included in Club membership*; others are available for a fee.

Door-to-Park Transportation

Enjoy the exceptional convenience of door-to-park transportation around Walt Disney World® Resort, right from your front door to the entrance of any one of the four Walt Disney World® Theme Parks or other Walt Disney World® Resort locations. From Park opening to closing, the shuttle and mini-coach service will be dedicated to Golden Oak residents and their guests.

Drop-off locations around Walt Disney World® Resort include, but are not limited to:
  • Magic Kingdom® Park via Transportation and Ticket Center
  • Epcot® main entrance
  • Disney's Hollywood Studios® main entrance
  • Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park main entrance
  • Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park main entrance
  • Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park main entrance
  • Downtown Disney® area
  • Magic Kingdom® Park Resort restaurants
  • Epcot® Resort restaurants

Extra Magic Hours Benefit

You can enjoy the magic for longer at select attractions, since each day, one of the four Walt Disney World® Theme Parks opens an hour early or remains open for up to three hours after regular Park closing time.

Dining Reservations

Let the Golden Oak Resident Services team make reservations for you and your guests at Walt Disney World® Resort owned and operated restaurants—from same-day dining up to 180 days in advance. The team can also secure reservations for you at a variety of restaurants throughout the Orlando area. Be sure to contact Resident Services well in advance of your stay, as all requests are subject to availability.

Merchandise Delivery

For your convenience, purchases made in the Walt Disney World® Resort Parks or Downtown Disney® area can be delivered at no cost to your home at Golden Oak.

Golf Services

You and your guests will enjoy services at Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course, Disney's Magnolia Golf Course, Disney's Palm Golf Course, Disney's Lake Buena Vista Golf Course and Disney's Osprey Ridge Golf Course:
  • Golf bag storage, including club and shoe cleaning
  • Club transfers, overnight, from Walt Disney World® courses
  • Use of rental clubs and rental shoes

Disney Atmosphere Entertainment

Disney performers will make appearances at Summerhouse on special occasions. From the Dapper Dans on Main Street, U.S.A.®, to the Voices of Liberty, a variety of acts will periodically entertain you throughout the year.

*The Golden Oak Club is a private social and recreational club for the enjoyment of its members and their guests. Each homeowner of Golden Oak is a member of the Club.

The Story of Golden Oak

The story of Golden Oak begins in true once-upon-a time fashion. As a youth in Missouri, Walt Disney would lie beneath the spreading branches of his "dreaming tree" and let his imagination run free. It was here that Walt's talents for storytelling and fantasy began to take shape into some of the world's most beloved characters.

Years later, a scenic ranch in California's Placerita Canyon proved an equally inspiring location for filming segments of The Mickey Mouse Club TV show. Walt Disney Productions purchased portions of the property in 1959 and, over the years, acquired more than 900 acres to reserve its quiet vistas for TV and movie productions and protect its harmony with nature. In fact, Walt and his family spent time relaxing and playing on the ranch.

The name of this ranch? Golden Oak, in honor of a storied tree there, under which some say gold nuggets had been found in 1842. From these illustrious origins, the legacy continues with Golden Oak at Walt Disney World® Resort.
